Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls are waterfalls located in the village of Senaru in North Lombok. They are among the waterfalls at the base of Mount Rinjani. These waterfalls are the tallest and largest on Lombok. We will take you to explore both of these waterfalls with a local tour guide there. Besides the beauty of Sendang Gile Waterfall and the grandeur of Tiu Kelep Waterfall, along the journey, you will come across numerous enchanting mountain views.
Upon arriving at Senaru village, we will head to the ticketing area to begin the waterfall tour. You will descend hundreds of steps to reach the first waterfall, Sendang Gile. It takes approximately 30 minutes to reach this point from the ticketing area. Along the journey, you’ll encounter many monkeys frolicking in the trees and even on the steps you pass by. The sight of terraced rice fields and lush green forests will add a refreshing touch to your day. This waterfall is usually used as a resting point after navigating numerous steps before continuing the journey to Tiu Kelep Waterfall.
After a short rest, we will embark on a more challenging adventure. Before reaching Tiu Kelep Waterfall, you’ll have to pass through the forest, climb stairs, cross bridges, and even traverse a river. The terrain becomes a bit tougher, especially when crossing the river, but no need to worry. Your tour guide will assist you every step of the way until you reach the highest and most majestic waterfall in Lombok, “Tiu Kelep”. Simply follow your guide’s instructions to have a memorable experience.
The waterfalls are two waterfalls located in the Central Lombok area to be precise in the village of Aik Berik, Central Lombok Regency. The waterfall is famous for its unique and beautiful shape. waterfalls cascading from the rocks form a soft curtain of silk thread. Coupled with green moss plants, ferns and other aquatic plants. making for a perfect waterfall view. In this waterfall there are also many natural or artificial pools where tourists bathe or swim.
For this tour, as usual, we will provide transportation, tour guides, and other necessary needs during the trip. We will pick you up from the airport or the hotel where you’re staying in the surrounding areas of Lombok. For those of you on Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air, we will arrange pickups at Bangsal Port or Teluk Nare. It takes approximately 1 hour from the airport or Mataram city and 1.5 hours from Bangsal Port to reach the village of Aiq Berik.
After purchasing tickets at the official booth, we will walk for about 30 minutes to reach the first waterfall, Benang Stokel. Along the way, we will pass through forests, local rice fields, and climb stairs. Upon reaching the Benang Stokel waterfall, you’ll be able to see two waterfalls with a height of 30 meters each. You can refresh yourself by washing off in the water and feeling its coolness to relieve fatigue. Alternatively, you can take a rest in the available gazebo before continuing the journey to the second waterfall, Benang Kelambu. In my opinion, Benang Kelambu waterfall is the most beautiful waterfall.
We will traverse through the forest once again, witnessing monkeys hanging around, and walking for about an hour before arriving at the location just before Benang Kelambu Waterfall. You’ll descend hundreds of fairly tall and tiring stairs before reaching the waterfall. However, upon reaching the waterfall, you’ll be greeted by the soothing sound of cascading water and an incredibly beautiful waterfall view. Benang Kelambu Waterfall consists of 4 tiers, and each tier forms a gentle curtain-like appearance, resembling “kelambu” or mosquito net in the local language. The waterfall features 3 pools that you can use for bathing or swimming. Take your time to fully relish the beauty of the waterfall. Afterward, we will accompany you to the next destination.
